Weekday Round-Up

Happy Holiday Monday! 

I hope everyone is having a beautiful day! 

Last week started out with Grandparents day! We had so much fun sharing and learning ❤️.

Last week we were busy bees continuing with our bee inquiry! We read a wonderful book called Give Bees A Chance and started reading Bella and Jack Bring Back The Bees. We watched an episode of the Magic School Bus called “In A Beehive.” Many kiddies have created posters or little books to show their learning. It’s been very engaging and I’ve even learned lots myself! 

We also planted pea seeds that we germinated two weeks ago. 

We have been participating in coding activities this week. Lots of practice with directions such as forward, backward, left and right. 

The intermediate students presented the school play last week. We had a chance to watch it on Thursday. It was absolutely spectacular! 

This week our PAT focus will be ch. Like when we did sh, the show and share item can either start or end with the sound.

Weekday Round - Up

Happy Mother’s Day! 

I hope lots of love and cuddles is in the days forecast! 

Last week was a busy one! We were so happy to have parents come Into the classroom and see us in action! 

On Thursday we attended our first school mass across the street at the church. We all did well sitting and listening for the hour. I was so proud! 

We continue with our bee inquiry! We have learned the anatomy of a bee this week. Some kiddies have been busy drawing and labelling bees to demonstrate their learning. 

We also learned how bees make honey. It’s quite the process (and sounds yucky too). Ask your kiddo to tell you all about it! 

With the beautiful weather outdoors we have been taking the inside outside! This week we worked on some coding activities outside. This was wonderful! Lots of space and fresh air! The perfect learning environment. 

The boys and girls have been enjoying the sandbox and lots of cooperative games too! 

Please remember to apply sunscreen each morning and to send a hat! 

This week for PAT it will be the letter x . I forgot about that one (the kids reminded me). Bring in an item with the x sound somewhere in it (ex : fox, box...) etc! 

Tomorrow is Grandparent’s Day! We look forward to hosting some grandparents in our room tomorrow!
