Numbers, letters or words

We have begun to decipher between numbers, letters and words.
This week we will be sorting them into three groups.
This is a simple activity to also do at home. On post it notes record numbers, letters and words (one per sticky note) . Your child can stick them on the walls around the house in groups (numbers together, letters together and words together).

We are also learning that letters make sounds. The sounds form together to make words and a few words together make a sentence!
We have begun reading sentences with high frequency words and pictures to help us get used to using picture clues when reading. The kiddies enjoy using the "teacher pointer" and reading these charts during centre time!
